Quintilian Family Annual Rottnest Camp
Monday 4 May, 2020
It was wonderful to hear the sounds of our students back in the school grounds last week. They have certainly added the vibrancy that was missing and they all seemed to enjoy catching up with their teachers, other staff and friends. Our staff were all very excited last Wednesday morning as they talked about their anticipation and excitement for our students returning.
Our students and staff continue to adapt very well to the various challenges that remain with Covid-19. We are focussed on providing an excellent education for all our students, whether they are on-site at school or learning at-home. We currently have 85% of students back on-site with a number planned to return soon. The safety of our students, staff and parents continues to be a priority and we continue to work with our available resources to ensure this.
A reminder for Parents
Parents are asked not to enter the school grounds (except in exceptional circumstances) as this minimises the risk of adult-to-adult transfer of the Covid-19 virus. Please drop and pick up your children from the school entrance gates and use the drop off/pick up slipway on Brockman Rd.
If your child has symptoms of a cold or a fever, then please keep them at home until they are better and contact a doctor or the Covid-19 testing clinic for further support.

On behalf of the Quintilian School Board
The Quintilian School Board continues to monitor the broad impact COVID-19 is having on our school community and economy. We are aware that many of our families are under financial strain and other pressures. The School remains committed to your child’s ongoing education at Quintilian and to supporting our families through this difficult time.
The Board believes that it is critical that we act now to ensure we can resume normal operations when the pandemic crisis passes. Our School commenced the 2020 school year in a strong financial position. Careful stewardship in the past and specific Government support through stimulus packages now makes it possible for the Board to announce the following fee reduction for Term 2.

Education at Quintilian in Term 2
On Friday 17 April the Premier and Minister for Education announced plans for government schools in Term 2. It was announced that parents of all school ages can choose to send their children to school.
Quintilian School will be open for parents who choose to send their children to school and at home learning will continue to be provided for those children who remain at home, when Term 2 commences for students on Wednesday, 29 April.
To enable our School and teachers to plan for next term, I ask that all parents advise their teachers this week whether their children will be learning on-site at school or at-home.
Our leadership team is still confirming other details for the start of next term and I will be in contact with further information prior to next Wednesday 29 April .
Best wishes for the remainder of the school holidays and thank you for your ongoing support.
