Quintilian programs are developed in line with the Australian Curriculum, West Australian Curriculum and Assessment Outline and other related State Government documents.
Our approach is structured, evidence-based and designed to produce confident learners who excel academically and socially. At Quintilian, we focus on building strong foundations in literacy and numeracy while nurturing the curious minds that drive real achievement.
From Pre-Kindy to Year 6, your child engages with the eight key learning areas as defined by the WA Curriculum:
In each learning area, our experienced educators deliver programs that are both rigorous and highly engaging. We maintain a sharp focus on personal progress and outcomes, from fundamental skill development to fostering creativity and critical thinking.
Progress is made in each of the eight learning areas as children develop greater skill and understanding from Pre-Kindy through to Year 6. At Quintilian, teachers provide programs that are child-centred, offer high-interest content, include a wide range of both excursions and incursions and ensure that the children have fun, but still provide academic rigour.
There is also an emphasis on the development of numeracy and literacy skills as well as problem solving and independent learning skills. Our inquiry learning approach ensures Creativity is fostered, and the children are confident performers and public speakers.
What sets a Quintilian education apart is how we bring the WA curriculum to life. We teach subjects and then we connect them to the world.
Our approach is immersive and real-world. A lesson in HASS, for example, might be lived through an excursion where children dress in costume to experience history firsthand. Meanwhile, a science unit culminates in an incursion that turns the classroom into a prehistoric world.
This is learning that is engaging, collaborative and still curriculum aligned. It’s how we build strong foundations for secondary school and beyond.
We are equally committed to academic achievement and the development of the whole child. A child who feels safe, known and supported is a child ready to learn.
Our small class sizes and nurturing school culture mean that your child’s social and emotional wellbeing is nurtured alongside their intellectual growth. We see this partnership between student and teacher and between home and school as the core of a Quintilian education.
The result? Exceptional outcomes that are measured not only in the academic success of our graduates but in their confidence, their character and their readiness for the future.

Partnership Approach: Experienced educators working with you to support your child.
