Are there any upfront fees for scholarship recipients?

Scholarship recipients are exempt from paying the student enrolment fee.  However, they are required to pay a student bond (refundable upon graduation from the School). If another sibling in the family is enrolling and is not in receipt of their own separate scholarship, the enrolment fee will be payable in full for this sibling.  Recipients are also required to pay the remaining portion of tuition fees (the portion that is not subsidised by the scholarship) each term or according to the agreed schedule. Should fees remain outstanding, the scholarship or the student’s enrolment may be revoked.

Are there any expectations after enrolment?

Scholarship recipients are expected to be outstanding members of our school community. This may include:

  • Embodying the Quintilian School values
  • Maintaining strong academic progress, effort and engagement
  • Demonstrating outstanding behaviour and attitude
  • Maintaining an excellent attendance record
  • Demonstrating active involvement in the broader life of the school, such as attending outside-school events and participation in co-curricular programs

Recipients will be required to participate in an annual review. In the case of unsatisfactory performance in any area, a scholarship may be revoked, or an Improvement Plan established. In the event that the recipient is unsuccessful in meeting the goals of the Improvement Plan, they will be provided one term’s notice prior to their scholarship being revoked.

How would the school assess merit for young applicants?

For upper primary applicants, the written submission and supporting documentation will be reviewed for evidence of applicant alignment with Quintilian Values. This may include student attitude, effort, and behaviour, as well as engagement with the non-academic aspects of school and community life.  For applicants in lower years, family alignment with Quintilian Values may also be considered (previous support for school boards, P&F, etc), as it is recognised that limited opportunities exist for young students to demonstrate their own civic engagement.

Are current Quintilian Students eligible?

Yes, but available Scholarship Awards are limited. Current families can also contact our Accounts team for payment options.
