Our school is very fortunate to have a wonderful play area with plenty of open space, a magnificent and large fort with exciting slides, a flying fox, plus a large range of other climbing and swinging equipment. The beautiful London Plane Trees that frame our play areas create a superb backdrop and provide plenty of shade during the spring and summer months.
These areas provide a wonderful opportunity for families and their children to play before and after school. In particular, I wish to encourage Quintilian families to utilise our playground after 3:15pm and late into the afternoon. This is an excellent time and opportunity to connect with other parents and help us to stimulate a sense of Quintilian Community.
Upper Primary Coordinator
Susan Wellington (Library Teacher) has voluntarily stepped down from her Upper Primary Coordinator position. Susan has held this position for 10 years and has done an excellent job in leading and supporting staff, parents and students. In addition, she has also been a fabulous support to me and other members of the Quintilian Leadership Team.
I am pleased to announce that Chris Johnston (Year 6 Teacher) has been appointed to the Upper Primary Coordinator position and has now officially started in the role. Chris brings a wealth of teaching experience and educational knowledge to this role. He has willingly provided professional learning and support for staff in a number of areas over the past few years.
I remind parents that our Quintilian Rottnest Family Weekend dates for 2023 are Friday 12 – Sunday 14 May. Please ensure you book your accommodation as soon as possible so you do not miss out. I especially encourage new families to Quintilian to join us at Rottnest Island next year.
